The National Museum in Kraków – a museum established by the Kraków City Council by resolution of 7 October 1879 , entered in 1998 into the State Register of Museums .
The museum has a rich collection of Polish, European and non-European art, which makes it one of the most important and interesting collections not only in Poland but in the world.
Thanks to the generosity of Poles in the country and abroad, the Krakow museum became the owner of collections of paintings , graphics , sculptures , coins , works of artistic crafts , old prints, manuscripts and memorabilia related to the history of the country, attitudes of a national liberation nature, which had been gathered for years.
