The most beautiful of the famous mounds of Krakow, which offers a spectacular view of Krakow Old Town. It's also a historical place: built in 1820-23 by the people of Krakow in honour of Tadeusz Kościuszko, national hero, then turned into fortification by Austrian army. Today it's a museum, but also a perfect place for a walk, surrounded by a forest area yet very close to the city center
